PNG to PDF Transformation FAQ
Will the PNG to PDF conversion keep my fonts / formatting?
+
Headings, lists, tables and images are kept, and the fonts used are embedded in the PDF, so it looks the same in every viewer. A font that is not installed on our conversion servers (Calibri, for example) is replaced with a similar one, so line breaks can shift. An image file becomes a PDF page that shows the image.
Is the PDF searchable (selectable text)?
+
Yes when the PNG contains real text (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT, EPUB). Image-based PNG produces an image-only PDF — to make it searchable, use /pdf-ocr/ after conversion to run optical character recognition.
Can I password-protect the PDF after conversion?
+
Not in this tool — convert PNG to PDF first, then use the /pdf-* tools to add a password, watermark, or restrict editing.
Is my PNG file private during PDF conversion?
+
Yes. Uploaded PNG files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted PDF are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy.
Does the converter work with scanned PNG images?
+
Yes — a scanned-page PNG (JPG, PNG, TIFF) converts straight to PDF. If you need the PDF to be text-searchable, follow up with /pdf-ocr/ to run OCR over the scanned pages.
Can I convert PNG to PDF and email it directly?
+
Not from the converter UI itself. After download, attach the PDF to your usual email client. The PDF file is portable and works with every modern PDF reader (Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, Edge).
